World of Warcraft Information

World of Warcraft is an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that was introduced by Blizzard Entertainment at the end of 2004. The game is in a fantasy world that resembles something out of a Tolkien world.

There are two sides eternally pitched against each other in the game, although neither is named good or evil.

• Horde: Tauren, Orcs, Trolls, Undead, Blood Elf

• Alliance: Human, Night Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Draenei

The history of these enemies was chronicled in the Warcraft Single Player Game and has continued to develop over time. The player environments in World of Warcraft are incredibly detailed and rich and players can literally find millions of things to do.

In 2007, Blizzard released World of Warcraft's first expansion pack, The Burning Crusade, which increased player maximum levels from 60 to 70 and added the new Blood Elf and Draenei classes. They also opened an entirely new world in which several new player zones and instances/raids were revealed.

In November of 2008, Blizzard released the 2nd expansion to the World of Warcraft, entitled the Wrath of the Lich King, which brings back the familiar foe/hero Arthas who is now the leader of the dead residing in Northrend.

As part of the 3rd expansion, Blizzard increased the level cap to 80, added a new Hero class: the Deathknight, a new continent, and several more instances and raids.

If you are a World of Warcraft player, or have been in the past, then I highly recommend that you buy Wrath of the Lich King. Not only will this expansion allow you to play the new Death Knight class, but you can also reach level 80 and see the fabled Northrend and even fight Arthas! This should satisfy casual and hardcore gamers.

There are many strategies to use when playing the World of Warcraft. Some players prefer to just fight against other players (PvP), some play for raids or instances, while others simply enjoy questing solo or with a group. Regardless of your strategy, the most important part of WoW is to acquire an inventory of epic gear. You can use instances and raids to acquire most epic gear, although some can be acquired via quests. You will also need a lot of gold to accomplish WoW mastery.
